ASD S.STEFANO SPORT (ITA)
PRESENTAZIONE/PRESENTATION
Alcuni disabili in trattamento riabilitativo presso l’Istituto di Riabilitazione S.Stefano di Porto Potenza Picena (MC), convinti del valore dello sport come strumento di riabilitazione fisica e psicologica, diedero vita nel 1976 alla S.Stefano Sport, terza squadra di basket in carrozzina ad essere costituita in Italia, e ne vennero fissati gli scopi:
- Favorire e promuovere lo sport, organizzando e partecipando a manifestazioni ed attività sportive destinate a destare l’interesse sui problemi dei disabili;
- Valorizzare lo sport come strumento ricreativo e riabilitativo, sfruttando il suo contenuto di divertimento per recuperare interesse nell’attività motoria; ricreare l’equilibrio psicologico che consenta di accettare la propria personalità ed il desiderio di realizzazione ed inserimento nella vita sociale e lavorativa.
- Curare la preparazione tecnica ed agonistica dell’atleta disabile affinché nella lotta con se stesso per migliorarsi, con una metodica e progressiva attività fisica, impari a superare la fatica, e a irrobustire il corpo e il carattere insieme che fanno scattare la molla della volontà verso una vita che vale la pena di essere ancora vissuta.
La S.Stefano Sport ha sempre militato nei massimi Campionati Italiani con ottimi risultati e il 18 Maggio 2019 ha conquistato il primo meritato Scudetto diventando Campione d’Italia 2018/2019.
Nella partecipazione alla Coppa Italia la S.Stefano Sport ha ottenuto il miglior risultato del 2° posto rispettivamente nel 1995/1996, 2017/2018 e 2018/2019.
Nelle competizioni Eurocup la S.Stefano Sport ha organizzato e partecipato a diversi eventi ottenendo seguenti risultati:
1996 1° posto A.Vergauwen Cup a Porto Potenza Picena;
2004 1° posto W.Brinkmann a Tuzla (BIH);
2006 1° posto W.Brinkmann a Vigo (SPA);
2007 3° posto A.Vergauwen Cup a Fabriano (ITA);
2009 5° posto A.Vergauwen a Vigo (SPA);
2010 5° posto A.Vergauwen a Badajoz (SPA);
2012 6° posto W.Brinkmann a Rieti (ITA);
2013 6° posto Champion Cup a Valladolid (SPA);
2018 2° posto Euroleague 3 a Badajoz (SPA);
2019 4° posto Euroleague 2 a Porto Potenza Picena;
Nel corso dei 43 anni di attività sportiva, la S.Stefano Sport è stata insignita di numerosi riconoscimenti tra cui:
1996 medaglia d’Oro FISD per i 20 anni di attività sportiva; 2000 Stella di Bronzo CONI per meriti sportivi;
2006 Stella d’Argento CONI per meriti sportivi;
2016 Pallone d’Oro FIPIC per i 40 anni di attività sportiva;
2017 Stella d’Oro CIP per i 40 anni di attività sportiva.
A few disabled persons, who were under treatment from S.Stefano Rehabilitation Institute of Porto Potenza Picena (MC), convinced about the value of sport as an instrument of physical and psychological rehabilitation, founded in 1976 the ASD S.Stefano Sport, third basketball team to be created in Italy, with the following purposes:
- To encourage and promote sports, organizing and participating in events and sporting activities in order to arouse interest on the disabled problems.
- To exploit sport as a recreational and rehabilitative instrument, using its funny side in order to recover interest in motion; to recreate psychological balance in order to accept one’s own personality and the desire to reintegrate in social and working life.
- To follow the training of disabled athletes so that, in the struggle of the improvement, they could learn to stand the strain, reinforcing their body and their character through an increasing physical activity; so, they can find again the will towards a life that is still worth to be lived.
S.Stefano Sport Club has always served in the highest Italian Championships with excellent result and on 18 May 2019 won the first deserved championship, becoming Campione d’Italia in 2018/2019. In the participation of Coppa Italia S.Stefano sport has obtained the best result of 2° place respectively in 1995/1996, 2017/2018 and 2018/2019. In Eurocup competitions S.Stefano Sport organized and participated in several events, with the following results:
1996 1° place A.Vergauwen Cup in Porto Potenza Picena;
2004 1° place W.Brinkmann in Tuzla (BIH);
2006 1° place W.Brinkmann in Vigo (SPA);
2007 3° place A.Vergauwen Cup in Fabriano (ITA);
2009 5° place A.Vergauwen in Vigo (SPA);
2010 5° place A.Vergauwen in Badajoz (SPA);
2012 6° place W.Brinkmann in Rieti (ITA);
2013 6° place Champion Cup in Valladolid (SPA);
2018 2° place Euroleague 3 in Badajoz (SPA);
2019 4° place Euroleague 2 in Porto Potenza Picena.
During the 43 years of sport activity S.Stefano Sport received numerous awards including:
1996 FISD Gold Medal for 20 years of sporting activity;
2000 Bronze Star CONI for sporting merits;
2006 Silver Star CONI for sporting merits;
2016 FIPIC Golden Ball for 40 years of sporting activity;
2017 Gold Star CIP for 40 years of sporting activity.
